i like most her very unusual voice & the pathetic kind of songs
the films are too melodramatic for my taste
too much coquetry with suffering & pain
just Der Blaufuchs/The Blue Fox is a nice piece of film,
especially because of Jenny Tilden playing the rival to Zarah
what to say more about Zarah?
she was disturbing beautiful,
gays love her,
she don't fits into the formula of a nazi female ideal,
although some are seeing the world such plain & easy
she was a german diva in a world seeking for beauty, perfection & unpolluted ideals
Zarah Pathetique ...
born & died in Sweden
quitted her service at the film front 1943
the 50's wasn't her time anymore, too profane for her thick velvet voice & acting in films
but the aura was strong enough for a second career on the chanson & musical stage
she did then, what was her preference ever,
she sang
