although his life tended to be a real tragedy are his works not tragical, not weeping,
rather importunate, respectless
with a pinch of black humour & deep emotional touch
unromantic but colorful reality
mostly known is his play Draussen vor der Tuer
The Man Outside (official english title) / Outside Outdoors (Ra's title translation)
a pitiless emotional illustration of a destroyed WWII generation
