2011 04 19 / NEED word of the day : need it's an old north indogermanic complex of indications, all surrounding the two 'speech sounds' N & D, ... ... while in the european north there is N to indicate an absence of something, in the european south (ancient Greek) there is A ... it's a significant difference : N stands for the Narrowness of a situation, while A stands for its Openness, the lack of binding & boundary N stands for 'bind', 'being bound', while D stands for 'give', 'burst out', 'spray' - result : ... ... a very wide range of meanings, but the A/N difference is very significant indeed, because it indicates a direct opposition of viewpoints north european : movement born out of scarcity, south european : movement born out of possibility - according to the climate difference unfortunately it says still nothing about NEED what do i need the NEED for : something around MOTIVATION, that which is the INITIAL issue to start something & within the D there's the complex of the german 'duerfen'-'darben', which seems to stand alone in nowhere ... so far for NEED in Tweeter -------------------------------------------------------- |
